Chelsey’s childhood was unique in that she grew up helping her mother breed and train Australian shepherds on their property in Washington State. This positioned her to learn a lot about puppy raising, animal husbandry, and dog training from a young age. After college Chelsey honed her dog handling skills at the Longmont Humane Society, which blessed her with the opportunity to work with dogs of various breeds and dispositions.
Chelsey was one of a handful of applicants to be accepted into Pavlov’s internship program where she mentored under Tanya Cardwell (Pavlov’s owner) and worked with dogs enrolled in the board and train program. Later she was enrolled in our shadow program, where she attended private dog training lessons in clients’ homes.
Once a staff position opened at Pavlov, Chelsey was the obvious choice! Chelsey currently trains dogs enrolled in our board and train program.
In addition to having strong dog skills, Chelsey has excellent people skills as she has interfaced with the public for high-end luxury brands.
When not dog training, you might find Chelsey and her husband globetrotting with no specific itinerary. Or you may find her running the neighborhoods of Denver, training for her next triathlon.
