I sent my 5 mo old Standard Poodle to Pavlov's Puppy Board and Train to work with Jason last fall. I was looking for basic obedience to set the foundation. My dog spent 2 weeks at Jason's house and when I picked him up at the end of "sleep away camp", I was thrilled with the progress he made! Jason offered a structured, yet loving environment for my dog. My pup mastered the basic commands/skills and also started on leash training. I'm happy to say, that my dog came home knowing sit, stay, down, heel - he no longer jumped or mouthed, his mounting phase was broken, he willingly used his crate (no whining), he learned acceptable social play and he knew the basics of the heel command. The follow up sessions have been super helpful and we continue improve on leash skills and recall skills. I look forward to continuing in the next level of Obedience skill programs. As a trainer, Jason was very attentive and made sure he "trained the trainer" so I would get the most out of the program, too. Highly recommend using Jason at Pavlov!
Corin was amazing with our dog. We did the board & train & she was wild up until we dropped her off (she even jumped into Corin’s houseplants at drop off). When we returned from our trip to get Gidget she was an incredibly well trained dog. She walks nicely on a leash, doesn’t bark at other dogs, sits/stays etc. 100% recommend Corin!

We were so fortunate to get to work with Virginia - she is a legitimate miracle worker! Our dog Thompson did the board and train with her for three weeks in December and we cannot recommend Virginia enough. We were totally overwhelmed with Thompson after we had a baby in September. Behavior that we used to put up quickly with became intolerable- constantly barking at the window, pulling on the leash, jumping up on anyone who came into the house, grabbing food out of our hands, etc. We knew we had to intervene and luckily found the board and train program. Thompson returned home a changed man. I can now walk him and the stroller no problem. He goes in his crate on command and has learned remain calm when someone comes to our front door. He continues to be the energetic, enthusiastic dog we love but is just so much more under control. We’re all much happier and so thankful we did the training.
Response from the owner: Cheers to heeling Thompson next to a baby stroller. You are not the first person to reach out when a new baby came along, as it is a time in life when you only have so many resources to handle an untrained dog. 😉
We took our 7 month old Australian shepherd puppy (Maple) to Pavlov for their 3 week board and train program (on and off leash). Prior to Pavlov, maple struggled with a lot of reactivity (she wanted to say hi to every dog, human, geese, squirrel, etc.). Her reactivity made everyday outings like potty, walks and exercise stressful- once or twice to the point of tears. We dreamed of being able to take her everywhere with us (breweries/hikes/camping) but she was so reactive to people or other dogs. Even at home she had a hard time settling down to relax. We had trainer Quinn for the program and honestly we think Quinn is a miracle worker! When Maple came back from the program she kept her sweetheart personality, but her obedience was like a different dog entirely. Our first walk with Maple, post-Pavlov made us want to cry tears of joy. She had a “text-book” perfect heel, and was perfectly calm even with other dogs and distractions. Our relationship with Maple has gotten so much better because now we are on the same page as each other. Now, Maple is able to enjoy her off leash freedom at parks because she has amazing recall. Maple now gets complimented a lot at breweries and parks because of her obedience and awesome “park-it” command even with lots of distractions around. Quinn was great at communicating during the entire program and in our hand off lessons afterwards. We couldn’t give Quinn a higher recommendation! 10/10 would refer!

My partner and I did the 2 week board and train with Jason for our new welsh and could not be any more happy with the results! It feels so great to be able to take a walk without feeling embarrassed of my dogs behavior, mellowing down in the crate has been a huge bonus as well. The training meetups after the program were very helpful, Jason is very kind, patient and makes sure you fully understand things before moving on. Its clear that he has a very strong bond with our dog as well, he gets SO happy to see Jason for the follow ups!
Response from the owner: Much appreciated.
We had our Great Dane puppy boarded and trained with Virginia, in the Denver area. The pup was difficult to walk on leash and had a bad habit of jumping up on people when meeting them. After the time with Virginia, our pup was immediately calmer, in general, is now a joy to take for walks, and we were trained on methods to correct other poor behaviors she might develop as she grows up. Virginia not only trained our dog, but taught us how to be proactive in avoiding any behavior issues, by watching the dog, and noticing signs she was getting excited or stressed, and gave us tools to use to proactively avoid any potential issues. We are now about 6 weeks post training, and our dog is a joy to be around. Thank you Pavlov and specifically, Virginia.
Response from the owner: Thank you in for investing in your great dane puppy, David.
