We cannot recommend Virginia with Pavlov Dog Training enough. She has completely transformed our 7 month year old rescue puppy, Lainey. When we first brought Lainey home, she jumped on everyone she met, had trouble walking on a leash and would rarely follow basic sit/stay commands. We signed Lainey up for the 2-week board and train and the results were amazing. Lainey is now very comfortable around other dogs, can sit/stay, walks perfectly on a leash and is so well behaved. The follow up training sessions after she came home have been so helpful in allowing my husband and me to learn the commands and keep up with her training. We could not be happier with the results and are so thankful for all of the hard work Virginia put into training our pup! If you are looking for an outstanding training experience, look no further!

Our 11 month old labradoodle Penny is a bit of a spaz and struggled to follow our directions. We sent her for a 3 week Board and Train with Chelsea as her head trainer and the results were astounding. Her awful leash habits were corrected and she now “heel”s very well and hardly ever pulls on her leash. She’s also able to sit on an elevated bed in our living room and stay there while we cook dinner or tend to our 2 year old daughter. We loved Penny already but we love her more now that we have the tools to instruct her and she actually listens to us. Our future with Penny is bright because of Chelsea and Pavlov.

Chelsea has been nothing short of a miracle with our dog! We sent her in for a board and train program (which I was very nervous about), but Pavlov was so wonderful. We got regular updates and videos of our dog’s progress. She had a minor medical issue (completely unrelated to being at the facility) and the staff alerted me immediately and took her into the vet the same day. Penny’s behavior has done an absolute 180. My husband and I were both shocked by how much progress was made in the time she was there. Her leash pulling, jumping, barking were all corrected! Chelsea did a great job of working with our very neurotic and easily spooked puppy and gave us all the tools we need to continue building upon the training she got while at Pavlov. Couldn’t recommend Pavlov (and Chelsea) more!

I cannot rave enough about Pavlov but especially Virginia. Most dog trainers really know dogs and are great in reading them and communicating with them. But not all dog trainers know how to translate that to people or know how to pass on techniques and teach dog communication to humans. Virginia excels in both. My 6-month old doodle puppy was giving me all that I could handle. Virginia met with me to understand my problems and training goals. I am forever grateful that she helped improve the bond that I have with my dog. I have nothing but positive things to say about Virginia. .

we sent our 4 year old german shepherd to pavlov for three weeks and he came back so much more structured than when we sent him. of course practice at home is needed outside of the facility, but he’s made such improvement. he used to jump at cars while on walks, bark at other dogs and kids, uncontrollably bark in the car and at home when someone would walk by, and now he’s much more calm with all of those things. he doesn’t jump at cars (or even look at them while walking by) and understands the commands in his home environment. as his momma with a weak and compromised upper extremity, i no longer have the fear of him yanking me forward during walks or not having that recall ability. he listens so well and we are very impressed and grateful for these improvements. chelsea was our trainer and she did a phenomenal job with our big boy (100lbs)! we look forward to having more 1:1 training as well as attending future group trainings! 10/10

Pavlov is amazing! Our dog Allie attended their puppy preschool, then completed the 2 week board and train.Puppy preschool was awesome. It taught Allie how to respectfully interact with other puppies. We do wish it had been more than 4 weeks long.As for the board and train, we’ve used multiple board and trains for previous dogs but Pavlov is by far the best one! Their team created a great training method. Chelsea was amazing! She did an awesome job training our girl. The most important part of dog training is training the humans on how to keep up with the training. Chelsea was great at teaching us the commands. When we needed correction she gave full explanations of what we did wrong, why it needed correcting, and how to perform the command correctly. Over the weeks after board and train she promptly responded to our questions, even taking the time to video record a demonstration to include with her response. We can tell our dog enjoyed her time at training because she was so excited to see Chelsea when we went back for the required post-boarding training. When our dog finished training, all our family and friends commented on the incredible change that happened in just two short weeks. The program is pricey, but 100% worth it! We’re excited to attend the long term classes to keep up Allie’s skills, as well as use them for boarding while on vacations.

We just completed board and train with our 8th month old 95 lb Cane Corso and final week board and train with our 6 year old basset hound. They are learning dual heel and we are learning how our breeds approach the world in such a different way. That said, we need to do the same with our training. The Pavlov group are very patient and extremely helpful in teaching us how to train our dogs. Our 6 year old is so much happier at home now that he has structure and our 95 lb goof ball doesn’t know the difference but we have a calm house and are able to take both dogs to work. I don’t know were we would be without Pavlov.And FYI, our main trainer is Chelsea. She is extremely dedicated to what she does, always available to answer our questions for we are a work in progress. You can’t go wrong with Pavlov for harmony with your fluffy friends.

Our 2.5 year old Newfoundland, Betsy, and us had a GREAT experience with Pavlov and our trainer Chelsea. We sent Betsy to a 2 week boot camp stay. Betsy had issues with counter surfing, treat obsessions, barking non stop, and walking in control with our baby stroller. Chelsea worked on many techniques to help us around the house with Betsy behaving and listening to us when it came to counter surfing, barking and food problems. Betsy is so much more pleasant and calm at home with her new commands. Chelsea also worked on many techniques to control Betsy on walks in order for her to go on walks with us and the baby and not want to lunge at other dogs or pull us around. All of the techniques we learned from Chelsea and have continued to work on not only helped us with walks and being at home but also our relationship with our dog overall. Pavlov was very responsive, easy to work with and took great care of her while at her 2 week stay. We never felt like she was not being taken care of, we were sent updates and videos/pictures regularly and we saw how happy she was there. She is going back for a board and train while we go on vacation, and we know she will love being back with the staff and dogs/play dates! Thank you Pavlov and Chelsea for helping us and Betsy!

After no consideration, thought, or foresight, we decided to get a puppy while already having 2 senior dogs. We brought home a 3 month old cattle dog mix/rescue and named him Ryder. He was absolutely adorable, sweet, and out of control. He ran the house in a way that was stressful and unmanageable; constantly harassing the older dogs (resulting in multiple bites, though he wouldn’t stop) intense resource guarding, crate resistance, and incessant jumping on people, furniture and counters. We paid quite a bit for online training, group classes, read books, worked with other trainers…nothing worked. He was actually just getting bigger, stronger and more unruly. He was now 6 months old and I was at a complete loss as to what to do, and the current state of affairs was not sustainable. After a great deal of research and interviewing other board and train facilities we decided Pavlov, specifically their in-home option with Virginia, was the best choice. I could not possibly be happier with what she managed to do with Ryder. He is a changed boy. We did the three week off leash training and I honestly can’t believe how well behaved and well mannered he is. He no longer jumps, stays off the furniture, sleeps peacefully in his crate, is easily redirected from messing with the other dogs (and getting better everyday), walks beautifully on a leash, and has been amazing off leash as well. The key is that we have the tools and knowledge to communicate clearly and effectively with him now. All of her work with him has transferred seamlessly back home thanks to the follow up sessions. Virginia was always in communication with us while he was with her and now that he’s home the communication continues. I have sent her multiple texts with questions and she responds immediately. Virginia has single handedly changed our lives for the better. Ryder is now adorable, sweet and IN control.

I am very pleased with my dog's training. He was in the Board and Train program with Jackie as his trainer. This training has helped him more than any other training that we have done (done in home twice and classroom training).Jackie was so great and handled him with the utmost care. My dog is pretty sensitive and she figured that out and was able to effectively train him.The handoff meeting was also very helpful as it taught me how to continue his training. I have taken him on a few walks now and he continues to be good with me on the heel command. I am also continuing with stopping him at doors until I say, "ok", and other commands that were taught during training.Thank you Jackie and the Pavlov team, this has been a great experience and yielded wonderful results.

Virginia @ Pavlov is extremely talented; she is literally my HERO. Tom, my 8 month old puppy - Springer Spaniel - was driving me NUTS to the point of tears... Tom thought it was his world... He demanded all of me - barked & cried constantly, pulled, jumped, chewed - all of the things.I had used Pavlov years ago for my older dog for in home obedience training, and loved the program. This time around, Tom was so naughty that I sent him to Virginia for 3 weeks obedience course + e collar, and it was worth every penny / my sanity. Chelsea has completely changed our lives. I enrolled my two very large, very large, and very enthusiastic dogs, Jethro and Waylon, in Pavlov's two week board-and stay-program shortly after we welcomed 6-month-old Waylon into our family. Jethro came to Chelsea with a limited amount of previous puppy training and Waylon with none at all- and where Jethro was experiencing people-related anxiety, Waylon was experiencing other dog-related anxiety. Needless to say, she had her work majorly cut out for her...Chelsea worked independently with both dogs- she taught Jethro to regulate and step away when he is overwhelmed by other dogs, and she built Waylon's confidence around people. Both dogs walk impeccably on their leashes and respond flawlessly respond to commands. Things that were once really stressful experiences- like taking the dogs for a walk- are now a complete joy.Additionally, Chelsea worked with the dogs together- they can even do a double heal!I cannot say enough wonderful things about Chelsea- she is unbelievably good at what she does, she is patient, supportive, and an absolute joy to work with. We have had an incredible experience with this organization, from our initial call with Stephanie to the comprehensive three-week board and train program that our Golden Doodle, Ollie, completed. The entire process was professional, informative, and extremely supportive.We adopted Ollie in April 2023, fully aware that he would require patience, love, and dedicated training due to his unfortunate history of abuse in his previous home. This led to some reactive behaviors and general anxiety. Virginia, our trainer, identified the areas needing improvement and maintained excellent communication throughout the three-week program. We received regular updates, including videos and photos, showcasing Ollie's progress. She then helped us learn Ollie's new commands through three follow up lessons. We were amazed with how patient Virginia was in these follow up lessons, she was never in a rush to wrap up and was happy to answer our long lists of questions.Although it was a difficult decision to be apart from Ollie for nearly a month, the benefits have been immeasurable. We have had such a great experience with Pavlov, and would highly recommend! Our dog Gus (a large mixed breed rescue pup) went through the Board & Train program, which was fantastic and hit all of the core training elements we wanted him to learn. He has Ashlyn as is trainer who is absolutely wonderful.Before the program, he was a big time puller on the leash, and did not have a strong understanding of other commands. After the full program, he is wonderful on a leash (great heel), and is great with other important commands (sit stay recall park it etc.) and amazing off leash.Ashlyn has been a wonderful partner to our family through follow up lessons, other questions that have come up, and helped us when Gus had some medical challenges as well. My husband and I enrolled our 1.5 year old dog in the three week board and train program with Pavlov and couldn’t be more impressed with her transformation. Her trainer, Chelsea, and the entire Pavlov team completely changed Tiger’s negative behaviors and took such great care of her. Before board and train, I could not talk Tiger alone as I was afraid she’d pull me over, she was an absolute maniac on the leash during walks. Her obedience skills/listening skills in general were not good and she also had a bad habit of jumping up on us and guests which with her size is not appropriate. Tiger is a completely new dog on leash now and walks are a pleasure rather than a chore and I can take her out during the day while I’m working from home and my husband is in office now. She does not jump on people even when overly excited.As with many dog owners, Tiger is our baby. We were so nervous to leave her for three weeks and weren’t sure how she’d feel or do. We didn’t want her to be lonely or feel unloved. From the moment we dropped Tiger I knew she was in good hands with Chelsea and the Pavlov team. Chelsea sent us extremely thorough email updates twice a week, random text updates with pics and videos and Pavlov does a great job of posting on their instagram daily of the dogs who are at board and train and socialization group so you can always check for random pics or videos on how your dog is doing, it’s so exciting. Tiger loves Chelsea and after bringing Tiger home and her not seeing Chelsea for a week, when Chelsea came to our house for one of our included follow up lessons, Tiger could not have been more excited to see her and you could tell she wanted to be on her best behavior to show off to her.We couldn’t be happier with our decision to put Tiger in Pavlov’s board and train program and can say it has 100% improved our life with Tiger. Our pit mix, Korra, was enrolled in the 3 week board and train with Jackie. We decided to enroll her because we couldn’t take her on walks due to her terrible leash manners and general reactivity around other dogs and people (excitement, not aggression). We got updates twice a week to watch her progress and by the time we picked her up she had done a complete 180! When we dropped her off, she would act like sidewalks were treadmills with how hard she pulled. Now she has a beautiful heel and stays by your side. She would bark and lunge at other dogs on her leash and now she just watches. The communication while Korra was there was amazing, and the manager Quinn and owner Tanya were kind enough to talk with us on the phone to clarify some questions we had. We’re so excited to continue working with Jackie over the next few months to reinforce her training, and take advantage of the support Pavlov offers post boarding.

We had the best experience working with Jason during our private lessons on obedience training. We went through Pavlov for puppy preK and knew we had to come back after Louie turned 6 mos for private training. We decided to opt for hybrid training instead of boarding and are so happy we did. Not only did Louie get obedience lessons, but so did my wife and I! Jason helped Louie become such a great dog as we were getting pretty frustrated with a constantly barking, crate fearing, leash nightmare Berner. We owe it all to Jason. Virginia is the best trainer! My dog Rigby did the board and train with Virginia at her home to work on a few obedience issues and off-leash e-collar training. He has come back such a well behaved boy who is more confident and very well trained. Rigby is a sensitive dog and Virginia uses a perfect balance of patience, firm instruction, rewards and positive talk to help Rigby learn new skills and become a more obedient dog. I also love that she continues to provide instruction including videos whenever questions come up now that he is home. She also provided video and photo progress throughout Rigby's stay with her which makes it a little easier to be apart from your dog. 🙂 We love Pavlov dog and are so happy with the results and loved working with Virginia.

I recently had the wonderful opportunity to take my puppy to Pavlov for their puppy preschool and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The trainers, Sierra and Chelsea, were incredibly knowledgeable and skilled in teaching a variety of essential puppy basics, and knew the unique quirks of all the breeds.What really stood out was their exceptional attention and patience with my timid puppy. The trainers took extra time to work with him individually, tailoring their approach to meet his specific needs, which we deeply appreciated. Our puppy has made significant progress, going from not wanting any of the other puppies to approach him to having a blast playing with many of the dogs. If you are on the fence about signing your pup up for board and train at Pavlov, just do it and you can thank me later! I have a border collie/golden mix named Goose who was a good boy before training but definitely struggled with heel, had some quirks with shadow/light chasing and could not sit still to save his life. (Stay command = 2 seconds). After Goose spent just 3 weeks with trainer Jackie, (she’s the best!) and then another 3 training sessions for us (2 more to go) Goose is the same silly boy we loved before, just much MUCH more well behaved! The park it, heel, and come, commands has been an absolute game changer. I can now cook dinner and not worry about him running or jumping around as he lays in a park it command until I release him (he won’t even break for a ball or my boyfriend tempting him with cuddles on the couch). I truly can’t thank Jackie and Pavlov enough for taking care of my boy and laying down the structured foundation of everyday habits and routines that we both needed. The best thing about Pavlov is that the training doesn’t end when you pick your dog up. The training continues with 5 sessions for you and your pup and they offer free group classes on Saturday which most training programs make you pay for and are not effective. To sum it all up… go sign your dog up for training ASAP and request Jackie 🦮🐾❤️

Two months ago we reached out to Pavlov to help us with our Golden girl Luna. Luna is three years old and has the biggest and brightest personality, but had very little manners when it came to leash pulling, guests in our home, counter surfing and chewing up shoes. Luna spent two weeks boarding and training with Pavlov’s trainer Virginia. Words cannot describe the amazing job Virginia did working with our Lu girl. She came home with the same sweet and loving personality, but all the manners too! We recognize that shifting our dog’s behavior has everything to do with our behavior as well. I can't say enough great things about Pavlov and their trainers, specifically Ashlyn. I first took my dog Hershey to Pavlov for their board and train program to help her with her almost debilitating anxiety. She had to be carried in and out of the house, would not cooperate on a leash, and hid under beds almost all of the time. After two weeks with Ashlyn, Hershey came home a completely different dog. Completely perfect on a leash, would obey basic commands like come and sit, and was generally less anxious in my house. Since then (1.5 yrs), I've continued to board Hershey at Pavlov and do some random trainings to continue working on her anxiety and every time she progresses a little more.Ashlyn is an incredible trainer and person. She is extremely experienced and knowledgeable in training dogs, especially those with anxiety. She is kind but firm, patient, and treats your dog like it were her own. She's become one of Hershey's favorite people and I owe her so much for her dedication and patience. I fully trust her with Hershey.

Chelsea was Kai’s primary trainer for the 3 week board and train and I feel like she was so much more than that. With her expertise in dog body language, she was able to educate me on how to read my dog’s body language. He came home with so many new commands and tools to help me be a better human for his needs. Cannot recommend Pavlov Dog Training enough to anyone who needs help training their pups! Ashlyn was our trainer for our dog Murphy who graduated from the Board and Train Program. Murphy came back as the loving dog he was but with a ton of obedience. Ashlyn worked with us after for three in person sessions and was always available if we had any questions. We are impressed with the work the Pavlov team did with Murphy and us! They focus a ton on training the owners. They created multiple videos with instructions on the commands they were using to train Murphy and demoed each one with him which was super helpful. On top of videos they provide multiple updates with pictures and how they are doing. They focus on socializing the dogs which helped Murphy tremendously as we got him during Winter and didn’t do the best job with having him play with other dogs/humans. After he graduated, every time we travel we board him with Pavlov in the Board with Benefits program. We love all the updates and the daily play time posted to instagram, he is always so happy to go and we love when he comes home because they reinforce all the training commands and truly give him attention. We love Pavlov and plan to join some of their group lessons in the future! We are so pleased with our experience with Ashlyn, she transformed our Murphy, was a delight to work with, and truly taught us how to be the best owners/trainers to ensure Murphy kept up with his commands. Forever grateful for her and Pavlov!

Worth every penny! I checked out lots of options when I first got my puppy. I enrolled her in the board and train program for 3 weeks. Jackie was our trainer and I can't say enough about her. She really listened and communicated well throughout the whole time. I also stalked their Instagram page for glimpses of my baby. It was hard to leave her for so long but Jackie's responsiveness and wonderful personality made me feel I made the right decision. Now at home, my baby and I have some work still to do together but I know that Pavlov will be there to help with any questions and group walks in the future. Thank you so much!

Puppy preschool at Pavlov is the best! I just finished with my now 16 week old Potcake puppy, Zoe. All of the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and make sure all of the puppies are safely socializing. Each week had a lesson which helped me learn what I needed to be working on. As a first-time puppy owner, they answered all my questions and helped me as things came up during the month.Zoe especially bonded with Sierra and got so excited every time she saw her. The first week, Sierra took time after class to teach me how to cut Zoe’s nails and get her comfortable with it. Now I’m able to do it easily on my own.The instructors also tailored their approach to the needs of each puppy. Zoe went from being really shy and hiding under the chair to running around and playing with all the puppies at the end. The month-long format enabled Zoe to get to know the other puppies and feel more confident. I highly recommend puppy preschool at Pavlov!

You can teach an old dog new tricks. Our 7 year old labradoodle Sherman had issues with jumping - particularly at the front door - and staying off of our bed. We enrolled him in a two week program with Jason and the difference has been night and day. We couldn’t recommend the program more highly. If you are concerned about the prong collar training approach, it has not changed how loving Sherman is and he loves whenever we saw Jason on follow up visits

We are so happy with the work that Jackie did with our pup Breck! The facility is first rate, and we got regular updates in Breck’s progress. Once training was done we had 3 sessions with Jackie to help us understand how to ensure that we continued working with Breck in the best way possible. Once your pup comes home you need to be disciplined to keep them behaving as wanted but Pavlov and the trainers give you and your pup the tools to succeed.

We have been super impressed with Pavlov trainer, Virginia. Our 7-month-old puppy stayed with Virginia for 2 weeks for Pavlov’s board and train program. Not only is Virginia very professional, but she has also invested a lot to make her home and yard an outstanding facility for the board and train experience. She taught our previously hyper doodle to not jump on us or others, walk in a controlled heal, hold a down/stay, and respond to e-collar commands. Our puppy is now a much calmer dog at home that our family can enjoy. Virginia’s follow up with the training has been extremely helpful and our puppy is always happy to see her. We highly recommend Virginia and Pavlov’s board and train program - it exceeded our expectations!

I had a wonderful experience training my dog at Pavlov Dog Training. I have an 8 month old corgi puppy and attended their puppy preschool before transitioning to a hybrid training program with private/group lessons. Tanya is excellent at what she does; in training both the dog and the dog owner. She took the time to understand my dog and tailor our sessions to our needs. I would recommend this program to anyone who is wanting hands on learning with their pooch!

My 18 month old dog Luca did a 3 week board and train with Pavlov and he is like a new dog--walks calmly down the street, not distracted by other dogs, and all the basic commands. His trainer Jason was terrific! Can't recommend Pavlov/Jason highly enough

The results we got for our dog are easily worth double what we paid. He's a completely different dog, he's so well behaved and attentive. We're thrilled and so much less stressed than we were before. His trainer Virginia is amazing, she's been so wonderful following up with us and Archie clearly loves her. We should have done this sooner.

We were very pleased with Pavlov's Board + Train program and more specifically with our trainer, Jason. Our dog Shay was in good hands. Shay can be very stubborn, but Pavlov is knowledgeable and practical in their approach. Very much liked the follow-up sessions with Jason. He was exceptional in training Shay, and us, so Shay could be a better pup. Highly recommend Pavlov and Jason.

My high energy Brittany puppy needed some extra help to train. His hunting breed made him very focused on bunnies and other things during walks and he was easily excited around new people. I did the Pavlov puppy class which helped set some foundation but as he got a little older I wanted more help making sure the training stuck. I decided to opt for board and train with Pavlov and loved that there was an option for him to stay in a home vs at the facility. Virginia was excellent with him and made sure to keep me updated during the training. In addition to the basics she helped teach him how to socialize with her dogs during the stay. He even went on hikes with her little pack. When I got him back he was SO MUCH better on leash and had a great start on recall. She also met me for two follow up sessions to make sure I felt comfortable in the training. Everytime we saw her after board and train Banjo was so excited to see her which confirmed he not only had good training but a good time during his board and train.It was such a good experience with Virginia that I decided to do the extra week to get him into a solid recall with an e collar. Since then hikes with Banjo have been so much more delightful and he has stopped getting into places he shouldn’t be.I strongly recommend Pavlov and the board and train with Virginia. I plan to have my pup stay with her while I am out of town for some brush up sessions since I know he is so well cared for there and I get the benefit of a better trained pup when I get home.

Edited for new updates: We completed our 2 week board and train a few weeks ago with Chelsea and she was so great.
