Trainer Ashley at Pavlov’s Dog is excellent. We engaged her services with our Parsons Russell Terrier (5 month old) puppy. Ashley is a great communicator. She has great touch and connection to the dogs and is good with their owners too. When we picked up our pup after his stint at boot camp, he was cheerful and happy to see us but was ready to show off his new skills. Waking on leash, as well as, come, sit, stay and some general manners. We were given instruction videos of our dog with Ashley, and a specific course of tasks to work on when we went home. We were consistent about the homework and we worked hard to keep up with the training.Fast forward to today,; our first follow up session, Ashley came to us, our pup was so excited to see Ashley and proudly showed her his progress.I would highly recommend this trainer and their program. A+
Ashley is seriously a miracle worker! I have two Shih Tzu mixes, Dizzy & Otis, both around four years old, and before their 3-week board and train, walks were often stressful—barking, pulling, even lunging at dogs and people. Now, they walk at my heel, stay mostly chill, and we can even do laps around a dog park without a single bark. Night and day difference. They also listen to “stay” and respond better to verbal corrections. The board and train program also comes with 5 private lessons. We've had 3 so far, and they've been a huge help in continuing their positive behavior changes at home.Ashley is patient and kind and a great teacher for humans, too. My only regret is not doing this sooner.
Ashley was wonderful. I took my 14 month old dog for the two-week board and train. I had some reservations mostly about the prong collar because he's very sensitive, but he came back just as happy as ever and much better on the leash. Even when he isn't actively training on something his ability to focus on me is just overall much improved. He barely feels the prong collar. He was really excited to see Ashley on our follow-ups. Ashley was very patient with me, very communicative, responding to all of my questions and concerns. She explains things clearly and obviously loves what she does.
Response from the owner: Thank you, Teri. And credit to you for being open to the prong collar.
Ashley has been wonderful to work with. We’ve already noticed such an improvement with our two dogs and she’s helped lay down a solid foundation for us to continue the learning at home. The two dogs are always so excited to see Ashley when she is working with them which is very heartwarming to see and makes us feel really good about our decision to work with her.
Response from the owner: Thank you for your kind words, Robert.
We did Board + Train with Ashley while we were on vacation. Ashley was very patient with us and quelled our anxieties about leaving our pup with someone for the first time. Our one-and-a-half year-old Lab/Springer Frank had a great time with her, it was so obvious how much he loved Ashley when we came to pick him up! In two weeks, Frank learned how to walk nicely in heel and not pull so much on leash. She showed us how to use the prong collar, which I had a lot of anxiety about, but when she pulled it out his little tail wagged. He prefers it SO much over the gentle leader we were using before, which he HATED and constantly pawed at. We are continuing to practice at home and have had a couple lessons with Ashley. Thank you!
Response from the owner: Kuddos to you for braving the prong collar. It means walks are in the future! Take care, Anya.
We had a wonderful experience with Pavlov Dog Training! Ashley took excellent care of our 9-month-old puppy, Sumi. During her training, Sumi learned how to walk properly on a leash and picked up several essential manners that improved her quality of life. Sumi is a very timid dog, but Ashley worked wonders in building her confidence.
Response from the owner: Cheers to Team Sumo! Thank you, Paul. 🥂
