Ashley is a Portland native who comes to Pavlov with over six years of professional dog training under her belt. Six years ago Ashley started her dog career with Off-Leash K9 Training in Hillsboro. Starting at a kennel tech, Ashley learned the animal husbandry skills associated with running a boarding facility – namely, feeding, medicating, and providing nurturing maternal care to dogs. Once Ashley proved herself capable, she was promoted to the dog trainer position. In that position, she gave private training lessons at the facility where she initially honed her coaching and teaching skills. This skill is important when teaching families how to maintain polite behavior. She later opened up her personal home to clients and trained pups in her home, and later relayed the skills to the family. After three successful years training her in Oregon, she wanted to learn from new trainers, so she later ventured to Atlanta, George, where she was employed as a dog trainer for three additional years. When asked about Ashley’s dog training skills, her former employer shared, “I never worried about Ashley’s client dogs. She is a competent trainer.”

What is Ashley’s strength worth highlighting? Coaching! Ashley has a gift of breaking down steps for human students in a palatable and relatable fashion. Ashley interned at Pavlov’s training facility in Denver where she expanded her training skills and focused specifically on managing dog socialization groups, which are a unique component of Pavlov’s program.

Outside of dog training, Ashley enjoys communing with Mother Nature and her dogs on hiking trails and savoring the local foodie scene.

We are blessed to have Ashley on Team Pavlov!
